Hello friends,
I launched Fearless with Fabric with the goal of helping quilters learn how they could be fearless . . .with fabric choices and combinations, with quilt design, with adding their own spin to traditional blocks.
So often, I hear people say they just don’t understand color, or they are not sure how to select fabrics for a project. Sometimes, I get emails from friends wanting to participate in a quiltalong but worried about how their blocks will compare to others that are posted.
I’m a firm believer that if you try something, then you’ve succeeded–it doesn’t matter if it’s perfect or if someone else doesn’t like it–if you like it, it’s good.
So, with all that said, I want to help YOU be Fearless with Fabric.
A few months ago, I decided to vend at QuiltCon 2019. I’ll be showcasing my own fabric lines along with a carefully curated mix of fabrics and patterns from some of the best in the industry.
In the coming months, I’ll share some sneak peeks of products you’ll find and I would to hear from YOU about what designers’ patterns and lines you’re hoping to see.
At this point, are you wondering if I’m e-v-e-r going to give you some eye candy in this post?
The answer is yes! After weeks (months, maybe?) of procrastinating, I started working on a quilt that I plan to display at my QuiltCon booth. I LOVE this Mixtape line by Libs Elliott.
Quilt Market starts this weekend so I haven’t had much spare time, but I recently pulled out this group of prints and sewed a couple of test blocks.
I decided to use my Party Lights templates
to create this.
Now this is the just first little sneak peek of where this quilt is headed. You’ll be able to see the finished quilt at QuiltCon in February and on my social media as I make progress on the blocks. I’m thinking I might need to offer some kits–what do you think?
And what other ideas do you have for using my Party Lights templates? How can you be Fearless with Fabric?
