Hello there,
It’s me, Sarah, back on my much-neglected blog to tell you about a few fun things happening in 2020 and ask your opinions.
First, I’m excited to share with you that I’ll be posting all through this year about my journey learning how to use my Grace Q’nique 15R on a Continuum frame. Here’s a picture of the machine and my room-in-progress.
I’ve decided she needs a name and I would love some suggestions since naming things is one of my least-appreciated tasks. I’ve actually never named a machine, but since I anticipate spending lots of time with this girl this year, I thought we should be on first-name terms.
And, if you’re wondering, for some reason this machine just seems like a “she” so that’s what we’re going with!
If you’ve always wanted a long arm, I highly encourage you to check out all the options at Grace Quilting. They have machines to fit every budget & every space constraint. Check them out here.
I also need to decide how to redecorate this room–I took over the family “den” now that we’re empty nesters but you can see there’s lots of den-type décor still in there. Deciding on a paint color change and how to make this “my” room is next up on the to-do list.
I have some other really fun things in the works this year.
I’ll be posting about my Reunion quilt which is being offered as a block-of-the-month at quilt stores around the world.
I’ll be sharing fun news, tips & tricks about the 2020 Quiltmania mystery quilt, Swivel. See how you can sign up at a participating shop here.
This is just a sneak peek of a few of the things coming your way in 2020. Join me as we make this the year YOU become Fearless with Fabric.

OK, you know I’m not so good at names either – but the obvious one that comes to mind is – Gracie! I had an older cousin named Gracie who was tall (yeah, one side of my family got the heighth but it apparently didn’t make its way down to me) and elegant – so I think it would be a fitting name for the new addition to your household! And welcome to the life of empty-nesters!!
