It’s finally April 6!
For months now, Nancy Rink & I have been planning this fun event and we’re so excited the launch day is here.
By now, we hope you’ve ordered your pattern booklet and possibly a kit to sew along with us. (Of course, shopping your stash is fine, too.)
(If you still need a kit or the pattern, be sure to visit all the partner shops: Homestead Hearth, Fabric Essentials, Hancocks of Paducah or Needle in a Hayes Stack.
This week, we’re debuting Block 1. Of course, I’m sewing along with my Bring on the Bubbly fabrics.
For week one, you need 6 prints plus your background fabric. Here are my selections.

Block one includes flying geese units.
And these pieced units:
Piece it all together and you haveĀ . . .
For lots of tips on alternative methods of block construction, be sure to visit Nancy Rink and our other guest designers, Tiffany Hayes and Karen O’Connor.
If you’re sewing along with us, be sure to post your finished block on either Instagram, Facebook or both. Tag your post with #DesignerDuoQAL and you’ll be entered to win a prize. We’ll have prizes each week so be sure to post your pics.
